Digg Adds Recommendation Engine

Digg.com, the social news 400 pound gorilla recently announced it would be adding some new features this week including a revised navigation bar, and a much anticipated recommendation engine. You can take a look at the ‘nav bar’ below.

There’re also some new Ajax ‘roll over’ features….

The differences are subtle but longtime users of Digg will note that the “Popular” and “Upcoming” tags used to be oriented on the far right and they’ve now been repositioned to the left. The biggest change, however, is the addition of a recommendation engine that not only analyzes your own Digg history, but that of your friends in attempt to suggest stories that you’re likely to enjoy.
