A big thanks to Charlie Cheever from Facebook who chose to come to Kampala to run the first ever Facebook Developer’s Garage. Charlie has been a senior engineer at the company for several years,s meaning he’s pretty much been with the company since it began to grow from Mark Zuckerberg’s college idea into what it is today. The event saw over 100 enthusiastic software developers attend: computer science students from Makerere University, small business owners and the school’s Faculty. For Slides, Photos, Videos and personal accounts of what took place, visit the Facebook Group. That thanks is definitely extended to Samasource who played the biggest role in pulling it all off by advocating for East African developers in Silicon Valley.
