  • In Malawi an estimated 600,000 women are HIV positive in a population of 13 million.
  • Latvia and Lithuania offer Europe’s highest share of female managers at 41%.
  • Spain and France offer Europe’s highest life expectancy for women at 84.4 years.
  • However, Japan and Hong Kong have the highest life expectancy for women in the world at 85 years.
  • In South Korea, 50% of women in their twenties have had cosmetic surgery.
  • In Rwanda 49% of seats in parliament are held by women, the highest ratio in the world.
  • Only 7 out of 150 heads of state in the world are women.
