African Countries As American States

What if the states of the USA were renamed to match countries from around the world with similar GDP’s? This map, which does just that, recently made the front page of Digg, I thought I’d modify it to highlight the African countries included. The States and their counterparts are highlighted in red…

Idaho = Angola
Montana = Tunisia
North Dakota = Kenya
Nebraska = Morocco
Kansas = Kenya
Iowa = Algeria
Maryland = South Africa

I’m not sure who made the original but it can be found here. You can also visit Wikipedia’s comparison between U.S. States and World Countries GDP.
