What Does Africa Buy?

Euromonitor International recently released data used for visual in Good Magazine of how some countries in the world are spending. Included in that list were Nigeria and Egypt. According to the data, the average Nigerian spends $486 on clothes, $28 on household goods, $17 on alcohol and tobacco, $3 on electronics and $16 on recreation per year. The average Egyptian spends $83 on clothing, $29 on recreation, $29 on alcohol and tobacco, and $7 on electronics.
