Synthasite Rebrands as Yola

Synthasite, the Silicon Valley start-up with roots in South Africa is under going a major rebranding strategy. The site, which raised $20 million in seed capital through Reinet Fund S.C.A last month, is shifting gears after that major valuation and round of investments. According to a company press release…

We want you to be among the first to hear our big news. We’re changing our name to “Yola.” It’s easy to remember and pretty fun to say. It comes from the Hindi word “jhola,” which means hatch – and hatching big ideas is exactly what you do at Yola.

Our new name, Yola, is about half as long, but it contains 100% of what you know and love about SynthaSite. We’re the same company with the same team. You’ll find all the sites you built and their web addresses are also staying the same.
