User Sells Twitter Account to CNN

James Cox, a London developer has sold his very popular Twitter account @CNNbrk to news giants CNN. The web developer opened the account to get breking news direct to his phone. Little did he know that it would turn out to be this popular with a following of more that 956000 by the time of writing this piece.

He has been working with CNN in running the account but has now transferred ownership to CNN for an undisclosed fee.

It is against Twitter’s terms of service to sell an account but The Guadian reports that since the transaction has been described as “transfer of ownership”, they may get away with it. Mr Cox had also infringed on CNN’s trade mark but they chose not to litigate against him.
