		<description>The solar thermal potential of the continent is covered in detail in the latest report from Desertec (from which the map featured on treehugger comes I think). This proposal is now getting a lot of traction in the EU and Germany especially.  Its important though that the network grid gets expanded south of the Sahara to meet electricity demand across the continent. Otherwise there is a credibility gap that would limit contient wide support.
