New Nigerian Job Board Launches

Jobberman is a new Nigerian job board that hopes to make your job search “delightful,” or at least, a little bit less stressful. Searching for a job in Nigeria, as throughout West Africa, is a difficult and frustrating experience. Typically, job seekers are forced to rely on connections more than job listings and skills. jobberman_nigerian_job_board

The new site will centralize information so that job seekers can find everything they need for their employment search in once place. From job listings to career advice, Jobberman will be a one-stop-shop for Nigerian job seekers. Later this week, they will also launch Live Help, which will allow the Jobberman staff help their users find jobs in real time and via social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

In addition to a slick job search interface, Jobberman offers several features to employers and recruiters. Branded listings allow companies to upload their logo and add links to the company website, as well as a feature allowing users to recommend the job listing to friends. Jobberman also offers statistics tracking, allowing recruiters to see what works and what doesn’t work with their job listing.

While their career advice blog is nascent, the founders of Jobberman have big plans.

It’s more than just a how to resource. It is a blog by employees of Jobberman about the HR industry, the happenings @the company,  and ideas we find interesting… We want to spread our idea passionately, daringly and contagiously. We want to share it convincingly (at least to the best of our efforts), wholeheartedly and completely and we want to evangelize it now! It’s more than finding a job, it’s finding the RIGHT job. It’s more than staying employed, it’s standing out in your place of employment.

Based on the beta they rolled out yesterday, this new entrant into the Nigerian job board market is quite promising.
