Free Tools for African Software Developers

Subversion for Africa

Today Appfrica launches its free software repository for African software developers. The goal is to provide a gratis space for developers who don’t have the resources, finances or access to such tools. It’s also our goal to begin teaching less fortunate students the fundamentals of programming using actual production resources like Subversion, TRAC and Apache.

code.appfrica.net exists to encourage the spirit of collaboration, shared knowledge and communication amongst African software developers. Feel free to request access to use it for the development of web applications, Linux programs, Windows programs, Unix programs or any other code you may be developing.
