Ugandan Resource for Designers Launches

NodeSix, one of Uganda’s premier web hosting and design companies launched a new service today called DesignKingdom. DesignKingom features art, tutorials and other content by Uganda web designers and developers.

NodeSix CEO Solomon King writes:

The Design Kingdom is, to be very vague, a digital designer’s resource, created and run by Ugandans, and created for Ugandan digital artistes. It’s an experiment in sharing knowledge and information, and ultimately, it is a tool to bring digital artists in the country together, to learn, share, interact, promote and benefit from each other.

The Design Kingdom is part of the Node Six Media Network. Call it our little desire to promote local content in Uganda. We have too many websites, social networks, internet applications that have all sorts of usefulness and “cool” factors attached to them, but they are not relevant to the average Ugandan.

So, after deliberating for many years, and trying to squeeze time to post these tutorials and articles and what have you, the Design Kingdom has finally taken its first breath.

NodeSix recently launched BlogSpirit an aggregator of Ugandan bloggers.
