Facebook Use Skyrockets Among South Africans

Facebook, the US social networking platform has skyrocketed in use in South African, up 33% in the past six months.

A survey done on Facebook growth of the first six months of this year showed that there are a estimated 971,908 South African users on Facebook, this shows a 239,320 increase in number since the start of February.

The top six places for Facebook growth also included Argentina, Colombia and Peru. According to numbers released by comScore, Facebook recorded 123 million unique visitors during June making it the the most popular social networking site.
